Growing up with 4 sisters meant that there were always a ton of parties happening at our house. Now that all 5 of us Worthington girls are in our 20's and 30's...that means there are a ton of showers happening. Which I am alllll about :) Bridal showers and baby showers are the happiest of celebrations!
Here's the scoop on the bridal shower we threw for my sister Melissa! Since she's a beach bum and an ocean-lover, we went with the theme: there are two less fish in the sea, help us celebrate the bride-to-be!
For Melissa's invitation, I kept it simple with a watercolor ombre that mimics the ocean. The invitation was two-part, tied together with a string. The secondary card features two fish that I watercolored myself with their registry information on the back.
I used the same fonts and watercolor for all the signage and games at the party to keep everything cohesive. Our "hook the husband" game was a fan-favorite :)
My friend Nicci (owner and chef of Confectious Pastry Shop) made the cutest custom cookies for the shower! She seriously nails every theme I throw at her and the cookies taste as amazing as they look! You can see all her other amazing creations on her website confectiouspastryshop.com
A full round-up of the games we played:
– hook the husband (think: pin the tail on the donkey, but with a giant poster of the fiancé)
– guess how many kisses for the soon to mrs. (winner with the closest guess gets to take home the cute jar with all the Hershey's kisses!)
– how old are the bride and groom? (we strung up cute baby pictures of Missy and AJ, guest with the most correct age guesses wins a prize)
– date night ideas (this one is self-explanatory but leaves the couple with lots of unique date night ideas)
