It has been so fun designing everything for my sister Melissa's wedding. Her two less fish in the sea bridal party, her wedding invitations, and (my favorite) her bachelorette party invitations and decorations!
Missy loves pineapples and the beach so her maid of honor and I decided to spin that into a tropical bachelorette party theme. We rented a house in Huntington Beach, right on the sand. (Pro-tip: check HomeAway and VRBO in addition to AirBnB when booking a house for any celebration weekend!)
The bachelorette weekend was equal parts relaxing and fun. Prosecco pong on the deck, beach volleyball, and tanning during the day, followed by drinks and dancing in downtown Huntington Beach at night. I highly reccommend this spot for a bachelorette party– there was something for everyone to enjoy!
We had a blast with fun games and activities throughout the entire weekend:
– Scavenger Hunt. Everyone got a scavenger hunt list in their goodie bag when they arrived on Friday. The list included things like "dance on a table" or "get a guy to buy you a drink". You had to have photo evidence that you completed each fun task and the winner at the end of the weekend got a prize!
– Porn or Polish. This one was sooo funny. I designed a sheet full of titles like "Thrill of Brazil" and "Topless and Barefoot". Everyone had to guess whether each phrase was the title of a porn or the name of a nail polish. These are all real life names and titles! The answers will really surprise you and it was so much fun to play with the girls!
– Prosecco Pong. Exactly like beer bong, except way better. Wish I would have thought of this in college lol. We set up tables on the patio of the beach house for the perfect mid-morning activity!
–Piñata. The same party game we all know and love, but filled with fun (naughty) stuff instead of candy.
– Panty Raid. This is by far my favorite! We've played this game at all my other sisters' bachelorette parties too and its always so fun! This is how it works: every guest brings a new pair of undies to the bachelorette party. The undies are for the bride, in her size. However, the undies are supposed to represent the personality of the guest who brought them. (For example, I love all things pink and girly, so I brought a pair of pink, glittery underwear. My sister Arielle was born on St. Patricks day, so she brought underwear with 4-leaf clovers on them). The game aspect comes into play because the bride has to guess who brought each pair of underwear! If the bride guesses correctly, the guest takes a shot. If the bride can't guess correctly after 3 guesses, the bride takes a shot. Its silly, fun, and at the end of it, the bride has a ton of cute, new undies!
I could go on forever about how fun this bachelorette party was! Check out the photos below to get a glimpse into our weekend :)
Also, the invitation and other printed goods are available to purchase for your very own bachelorette over on the invitations tab.
